Farming Connect projects:

Since Farming Connect was launched in September 2001 Organic Centre Wales has commissioned work to assist the organic sector in Wales in a number of ways. In addition to establishing a network of organic farms and assisting discussion groups, a number of knowledge transfer projects have been carried out.

For more information on Farming Connect, see www.wales.gov.uk/farmingconnect

Market intelligence studies have been carried out in the dairy, red meat and horticulture sectors, and regular updates are provided via the monthly Organic Market Wales e-mail bulletin. For market reviews of the horticulture, arable, dairy and red meat markets, click here. Other studies focus on technical issues, such as pest and weed control in organic crops and 100% organic livestock feeds. The results from these investigations are in some cases summarized in factsheets or technical notes or presented in seminars and workshops.
