Since
Farming Connect was launched in September 2001 Organic Centre Wales has commissioned work to assist
the organic sector in Wales in a number of ways. In addition
to establishing a network of organic farms and assisting
discussion groups, a number of knowledge transfer projects have been
carried out.

Market intelligence studies have been carried
out in the dairy, red meat and
horticulture sectors, and regular updates are
provided via the monthly Organic
Market Wales e-mail bulletin. For
market reviews of the horticulture, arable, dairy and red meat
markets,
click here. Other studies focus on technical
issues, such as pest and weed control in organic crops and 100%
organic livestock feeds. The results from these investigations are
in some cases summarized in factsheets
or technical notes or presented in seminars and workshops.
