St Padarn's School organic food project 2004:

Pupils from years 5 and 6 of St Padarn's  Primary School, Aberystwyth, visited Mentro Lluest to learn about organic gardening. They came in June to help plant beans, and then again in September to harvest tomatoes, beans and onions.

In September they had an organic school dinner of roast lamb, potatoes, carrots, parsnips and cauliflower, followed by yoghurts. A customer survey found that the organic meal was very popular. Below is a newspaper report prepared by some of the pupils.

September 23rd. 2004. £1.50.

J.M. NEWS

Organic too!!

Yesterday St Padarn's school celebrated the first ever organic healthy meal. The crunchy course included parsnips, carrots, and potatoes. The main part of the meal was the lovely, delicious, beautiful, gorgeous, juicy LAMB. Of course the lamb was dead but it was also organic too!!

Mentro Lluest

Mentro Lluest is where St Padarn's school got their veggies from. Years 5 and 6 picked the vegetables with

their bare hands. How they got there, well they walked all the way up Primrose Hill.
